The truly unbelievable Autobiography of
Daisy Polk
The Book is a work-in-progress. If you want to read the EARLY versions and give feedback, you are welcome. You can check back anytime for a newer version with corrections and added Chapters. And ... I'm looking for good critical readers and appreciate all feedback. Please!
VERSION 8.14.20
Wow. I am overwhelmed by the generous support and feedback. Chapters 1 -3 of PART ONE are back in the editing mode. Apart from cosmetics and commas, the biggest changes suggested fleshing out the fantastical conversation to cover more character development "otherwise we don't know a thing about the lady who appears or why we should care." The same for the Endemial chapter "What if the reader doesn't know much about Susan B. Anthony," It gets a little lost in the weeds" towards the end. So stay tuned for the next Chapters and those edits.
VERSION 1.12.21
We have the first 30,000 words ready to read. Still chrysalis stage and needs your critical eye. If you want me to send you the PDF please fill out the form below and I'll send it to you.
VERSION 10.1.2021
72,000 words and nearing the finish line on BOOK ONE. Currently, nine Chapters, the tenth in progress takes Daisy to San Francisco in 1892 where her brothers and father build a home that stands today at 1015/19 Vallejo atop Russian Hill. Loads of changes and edits, thanks to my trusty early readers. If you've got a keen eye and a cool head for historical fiction - sign up below to get a reader-copy.
